Internships

Simultaneously grow your experience in a professional setting, explore future career paths and make important contacts.

An internship helps you form personal and professional connections while expanding your global literacy and critical thinking skills.

It’s also a one-of-a-kind chance to explore your potential profession and get a feel for what daily life could be like in a future career. All of the academic departments at Waynesburg offer experiential learning opportunities in real world settings, and internships are an important part of a well-rounded curriculum for many majors.

Find an Internship

Your academic advisor will guide you through the process of making sure an internship aligns with departmental requirements and can provide insight on where to apply and why based on your academic concentration, interests and career goals.

Our Career Services Center is also an excellent resource for finding and preparing for an internship. The team can help you fine tune your application, practice interview skills and network with potential employers that you can intern with before graduation.

Noteworthy Partnerships

An internship adds practical significance and skills to your in-class education and helps ensure a successful transition from college to a career. We’re always looking for opportunities to provide these experiences for students and have several programs in place that support internship work.

Scholars from our Stover Center for Constitutional Studies and Moral Leadership, for example, receive up to $1,000 to defray the costs of an internship, and our partnership with The Washington Center in Washington, D.C., sends qualified students to the nation’s capital to complete a one-semester internship on the hill.
